Hugo Awards

An annual literary award for the best science fiction or fantasy works of the previous year, given at the World Science Fiction Convention and chosen by its members.  It is named after Hugo Gernsback, founder of the science fiction magazine Amazing Stories.  First given in 1953.

Currently, the number of categories is seventeen, although there are some recurring categories and previous categories.  In this guide only Best Novel will be included.  For more information and to see other award winning works go to www.thehugoawards.org.
